Nature's Recipes
Sometimes the mouth feels dry or acidic, especially after certain foods or drinks.
A gentle baking soda rinse is a well-known home solution that can help neutralize acidity in the mouth and give a feeling of cleanliness and freshness.

Dissolve the baking soda in the water.
Sip a little of the solution.
Rinse the mouth gently for 20–30 seconds.
Spit out the solution.
Repeat until the cup is finished.
Can be used occasionally, as needed.
- A cup of lukewarm water — 240 ml.
- A quarter teaspoon of food-grade baking soda.
It is best to prepare a fresh solution each time, and not to keep it in a bottle for days.
Why Is It Good?
- Baking soda is an alkaline substance that helps neutralize acidity.
- The rinse helps clear residue from the mouth.
- May provide temporary relief from a feeling of acidity.
- Contains no alcohol or flavorings.
Did You Know?
Baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate, is also used in some oral care products thanks to its ability to neutralize acidity.
A home rinse does not replace brushing with a fluoride toothpaste or cleaning between the teeth, but it can serve as a targeted addition to the routine.
