Nature's Recipes | Oral & Dental Health
A small mouth sore can turn even a simple meal into an unpleasant experience. One of the traditional and simple ways to ease the irritation is a gentle salt water rinse.

Dissolve the salt in the warm water.
Take a small sip and gently rinse the mouth for about 30 seconds.
Spit out the solution, without swallowing.
- A cup of warm water (about 240 ml)
- Half a teaspoon of salt
Two to three times a day, as needed.
It is not advisable to place salt directly on the sore. It can cause strong burning without adding any benefit.
Why Is It Good?
Salt water may ease the discomfort and help gently cleanse the mouth while the sore heals.
Did You Know?
Most small mouth sores heal on their own within a week to two. A sore that does not disappear within three weeks requires an examination.
